This is what I woke up to yesterday morning... just another cold day in Paradise. :p Unfortunately, this is my only picture from yesterday (still new at this, so please give me some time). Don't fret though, it was 28 by the end of the day! Upper Peninsula and its weird weather, I tell ya! :p
Now that I've played a bit of catch-up, today we had Choir Festival in Marquette (about 2 hours from my hometown), so it was a bright (not really) and early (for sure) morning for me! We were boarding the bus at 7:30, so I brought some Lactose-Free Cottage Cheese mixed with some berries, bananas, and cinnamon with me for the ride. Before I left home, I HAD to have my morning cup of coffee, which I put in my awesome Disney Cruise Line mug (isn't that sweet?! It looks like a smokestack!).
We sang up a storm in a concert hall, where we were smooshed onto risers like sardines (they're meant for choirs of ~30 people, and mine had 70 today!), causing two people to pass out! Ah! It was so scary! Luckily, everyone was alright. :) We then proceeded to sight singing where the Alto section just decided not to sing (don't know what happened there).
I think everyone was happy when we were done and could go to lunch! I had a chicken salad with olive oil and an Ezekiel English muffin with some hummus and homemade jam (plus some tea and coffee). I would've taken a picture cause my salad was SO pretty, but like I said, I'm new at this, so hopefully I'll get better. After that, we loaded the bus and headed home.
So, that brings us up to speed of where I am now. I had a Kombucha (if you haven't tried these, you should) and some toast with PB, coconut oil, and raisins for a snack.
We're going to a friend's house for dinner today (they're grilling steaks and chicken), and then its off to bed for me, because I have the Great Bear Chase 10K Ski Race tomorrow! :) Wish me luck and I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday night!
